چکیده
In this research study three dimensional (3D) finite element analysis are performed on a flexible pavement section for different material properties, temperature and loading conditions. The main objective of is to predict the rut depth under conditions temperature, loadings properties. Three model developed using ABAQUS depth. system assumed be an elastic multi-layers with each layer being isotropic, homogeneous specified Resilient Modulus (Mr) Poisson ratio (µ). With exception bottom subgrade layer, extending unlimited horizontal extent has thickness. analyze in cyclic load 10000 cycles taken as 0.01sec per cycle. Standard Axle Load (ESAL) 18 kips (80 kN) axle dual set tires, wheel spacing 13.78 (350 mm) tire contact pressure 100 psi (0.69 MPa) used. After performing series results showed that increases increase decreases by base stabilizer. Doi: 10.28991/cej-2021-03091727 Full Text: PDF

buckling of viscoelastic composite plates using the finite strip method
Failure Prediction during uniaxial Superplastic Tension using Finite Element Method
Superplastic materials show a very high ductility. This is due to both peculiar process conditions and material intrinsic characteristics. However, a number of superplastic materials are subjected to cavitation during superplastic deformation. Evidently, extensive cavitation imposes significant limitations on their commercial application. The deformation and failure of superplastic sheet metals...
متن کاملElasto-Plastic Finite Element Evaluation of Flexible Pavements Based on Shakedown Concept
In this paper, three-dimensional elasto-plastic finite element analysis was performed on flexible pavements under vertical repeated traffic loads to evaluate their shakedown behavior. Six different pavements with different structural number (SN) were modeled and subjected to a wide range of cyclic vehicle loads. Shakedown limits were obtained considering both failure and serviceability restrain...
متن کاملA finite element based backcalculation program for flexible pavements
In recent years pavement maintenance planning has become a main task among highway agencies. In order to determine the structural capacity of a flexible pavement, non-destructive testing equipment is used. Many countries use the falling weight deflectometer (FWD). It is possible to obtain deflection data and backcalculate the pavements’ mechanical properties. However, the method used affects th...
متن کاملDynamic Load Carrying Capacity of Flexible Manipulators Using Finite Element Method and Pontryagin’s Minimum Principle
In this paper, finding Dynamic Load Carrying Capacity (DLCC) of flexible link manipulators in point to-point motion was formulated as an optimal control problem. The finite element method was employed for modelling and deriving the dynamic equations of the system. The study employed indirect solution of optimal control for system motion planning. Due to offline nature of the method, many diffic...
